A holistic approach to managing software assets
Semmle’s On-Demand Analytics of Software Assets (ODASA) solution takes all the software artifacts that are used in building a software system, puts them in a software repository, and analyzes them to check for errors and inefficiencies.
Other solutions do not have this holistic view; they usually look only at the code, and not its history and surrounding artifacts. Yet knowing the relationships between these artifacts is very important for a proper view of the state of your assets.
ODASA can easily be customized to suit whatever software assets you use – it doesn’t restrict the way in which you work, or the tools you use.
ODASA’s query engine allows code analyses to be expressed as object-oriented queries, which allows for rapid development of new analyses and customization of existing analyses to suit changing requirements.
