Code Analysis with SemmleCode
SemmleCode is our code-centric tool for performing code analyses, and forms the part of the ODASA solution that is targeted to developers, architects and anyone who works directly with the code.
It is part of the ODASA solution and is also available as a stand-alone product.
SemmleCode enables you to:
- gain insight into the real structure of the code;
- audit code quality and enforce code policies;
- locate refactoring opportunities and check the proper implementation of refactorings.
IDE Integration
The analyses can be run in the IDE itself, on the entire codebase or on the specific working set that the developer is using. Possible errors and policy violations can be located as the code is written, lowering the cost of correction.
Navigation is enabled through the IDE’s interface, which lets you move back and forth between analysis results (displayed as heat maps, charts, graphs, etc.) and the actual code. Problems are reported both in the development environment’s problem view and with markers in the code itself.
